Welcome to Talk to Me, Goose! These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of our mobile application (“App”). By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms:
– “App” refers to the Talk to Me, Goose mobile application.
– “User” refers to anyone who accesses or uses the App.
– “Content” refers to any text, images, videos, audio, or other material available through the App.
– “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to the developers and operators of the App.

By using the App, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use of the App constitutes your acceptance of any changes. Please review these Terms periodically for updates.
User Accounts
To access certain features of the App, you may be required to create a user account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Use of the App
You agree to use the App in accordance with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations. You must not:
– Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
– Use the App to distribute unsolicited commercial messages (spam).
– Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
– Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App.
We reserve the right to terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms.
User-Generated Content
You may have the opportunity to submit text to the App, which will then be converted to speech using a text-to-speech synthesis engine. The resulting audio files (.mp3) can be stored in Google Cloud Storage. Additionally, you can create categories (similar to folders) to organize your favorite audio files. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute your content. You retain ownership of your content, and you are responsible for ensuring that your content does not violate any laws or infringe on any third-party rights.
AI-Generated Content
The App uses AI-powered technology to generate content (e.g., suggested text messages). Please note that this content is generated automatically by an AI model and is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content. Users should not rely solely on AI-generated content for important decisions or actions. By using the App, you acknowledge that any reliance on such content is at your own risk, and we disclaim all liability arising from your use of AI-generated content.
Limitations on Use
AI-generated stories and illustrations provided through the App are intended for personal, non-commercial use. Any commercial use is undertaken entirely at your own risk, and the App disclaims all liability arising from such use.
No Warranty of Originality or Ownership
Due to the nature of AI-generated content, the App does not warrant or guarantee that any outputs will be unique, non-infringing, or protected by copyright. You acknowledge that similar or identical outputs may be generated by others independently.
User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for evaluating the suitability and accuracy of any content generated by the App. You agree to use your own judgment and discretion when using or acting upon AI-generated content.
By using the App’s AI features, including but not limited to text generation and illustration creation powered by third-party AI models (e.g., Anthropic, Google), you acknowledge and agree that:
- You are solely responsible for the prompts you submit and any resulting outputs.
- You agree not to input prompts that request or encourage the generation of content that infringes upon any third party’s intellectual property rights, including copyrighted works, trademarks, or the likeness of recognizable characters.
Copyright Disclaimers
The App does not verify whether AI-generated content (textual or visual) infringes on third-party intellectual property rights. As such:
- You agree that any use, sharing, or distribution of AI-generated content is at your own risk.
- You are solely responsible for ensuring that any such use complies with applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Intellectual Property
The App and its content are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not use any of our trademarks, logos, or other proprietary materials without our prior written consent.
Privacy
We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. The App processes user-submitted content by utilizing third-party AI technology, including Anthropic’s API and Google’s Gemini API. By using the App, you consent to the processing of your data in accordance with Anthropic’s privacy and use policies as well as Google’s privacy and use policies. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied. In no event shall we be liable for any damages arising from your use of the App.
The App may generate content using AI technology, which is inherently experimental and may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or otherwise unsuitable outputs. We expressly disclaim liability for any damages resulting from your reliance on AI-generated content provided by the App. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or losses that may arise from your use of AI-generated content.
The App is provided as a general accessibility tool for a broad set of users and is not intended to be used as a medical device. While the app does generate voice output through text entry, it is NOT intended for life‑supporting or emergency communication. It is intended solely to enable expressive conversion of text into speech that can support basic communications. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or losses that may arise from your use of the App.
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate your access to the App at our sole discretion, without notice, if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the App and delete any copies of the App from your devices.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the App after any changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
